Q: Hashtags (#) and Tweet Consistently

The twitter #symbol, called a hashtag, is used to mark keywords or topic in a Tweet. How do you use it to get yourself found on the first page? Use Hashtags(#) and tweet consistently.

Let’s do two keywords search, #Pasadena #Realtors. What do you find out? Do you see which Realtors in Pasadena are actively on twitter? I bet you do. They are using hashtags (#) on every tweet they post.

Using hashtags are not enough, you need to tweet consistently. Consistent means you should tweet every day. Do not post twenty tweets today, then stop for a week, and then post 15 tweets next week when you feel like it. People will unfollow you if you do that.

A: Thank those people that retweeted your contents

Aways thank people that have retweeted your content. Remember to send them a Direct Message about how great their contents are. Or post as a normal tweet with an @mention.

Please note: If you want to retweet from someone you don’t know, make sure you click the link and read through what is in it. Don’t retweet anything inappropriate, it will damage your online reputation.

Q: How To Engage With Conversations?

A: Direct Messages

You can only send Direct Messages to your Followers. This is a private conversation between you and your follower. What kind of conversations have you done before?

  • Did you thank your followers for following you?
